Easter Weekend

Being back home in LA for only a week, our mothers were already lost without us. My mom really twisted my arm to get me to come to Las Vegas to help run her art booth. Chelsea's mom came for a "work"  visit, but decided to stay the whole weekend so we could have some bonding time. We wanted to do something neither one of us have done before, so we drove the two hours up to Santa Barbara. The drive consisted of an amazing ocean view.

We stayed at the Stratosphere and the rockabilly show was across the street.

We managed to get a few free minutes and visited A&E's Pawn Stars store.

Spring Break 2013!?!?

Itching to be away from school we do the opposite of what most kids our age do. Instead of partying it up, we went home for the week to get spoiled with shopping adventures, free food, laundry, and gas.

Meeting baby Tatum for the first.

Finishing up decorating Tatum's room with assistance from mommy Tori

Of course, shopping with Mrs. Thomson ( :

Hiking the Waterfall Trail at the White Tanks.
After hiking, we tried to swim but the water was still cold.
This is what happens to my brother when he is not home and I have Justin Beiber wrapping paper.

Mad for Mod

One of the projects that kept us from updating our blog was our fashion midterm. The assignment was to create a concept board and sell it to the class. After much debate on what topic to choose, we narrowed it down to Mad for Mod and Rococo. For the project one board was to be created digitally and one physically. After a stressful week of research and preparing our presentation notes, we were very relived to get an A on our project.

Hiking Hollywood

Seeing as we are poor college students, we needed to find something free to do in this glamorous city. If you know us, you know we do not exercise, so making it up the voluptuous hill was a challenge. Half way up the hill, we realized just how out of shape we really are. Gasping for fresh air not tainted by the poo from the horse trail and panicking from our lack of water, we did make it to the top. It was about a five mile hike on one of the hottest days since we have been here. We have yet to concur this hill again.... Once at the top, there is a great view of downtown LA and the Griffin Observatory. Seeing as there were no celebrity sightings are next hiking venture will be at Runyon Canyon, where the celebs hike.

Let's Go To The Beach Beach!

Since this whole school thing is pretty much taking over our lives, we have yet to have any real fun. Sorry for the lack of posts, but with midterms behind us and a clear view of summer we have had time to let loose and update the blog. So we hope you all enjoy! :)

A few weeks back, we went to Venice Beach and found ourselves surrounded in the scent of weed, sweat, and hobos. We wondered through the shops and had lunch at the Sidewalk Cafe with a great ocean view. After lunch, we walked about 5 miles along the beach to the Santa Monica Pier where we ended the day stuffing our faces with funnel cake and ice cream.

FINALLY 21!!!!!

To celebrate the 21st birthday of Miss Chelsea we began the day were all good days should start, Starbucks. We dreaded going to school on a day that should be spent celebrating, but did make an effort and only missed one class. We left early so we could attend a taping of Chelsea Lately. When we arrived, we got to wait in a long line. They take you back in groups to the studio and with poorly given directions, you are told you can go to the bathroom. What she doesn't tell you is that you leave to go pee, you lose your spot in line!! We ended up being the last two inside, but had to be split up since there was no seats together. Luckily, we got to watch two recordings that were going to air for two different shows. The first guest interview was a very pregnant Kristen Bell. Who is always hilarious and talked about how she has won a bunch of money off of Don Cheadle. Second guest was Jenna Elfman who has a new show and is quite funny herself. The round table had Bobby Lee, Dov Davidoff, and Kerry-Kenney Silver. The only bad thing that sucked is Chuy was not there. He is filming a reality competition show. After the show we went to our favorite restaurant, El Torito. We dined on yummy food and giant margaritas, where we were once again....not carded. After we came home to relax and eat delicious red velvet cake with chocolate chips.

Weekend Fun

A fun place we discovered over the past few weeks was the Melrose Trading Post. It's a big swap meet full of unique and one of a kind goodies. Added bonus, great food stations. We ended up leaving with a vintage newspaper with Marilyn Monroe on the cover, wall sconces, a Chelsea street sign, and an awesome spinning coat rack.
